On my second trip to Italy in February of 2023, I spent a few days in none other than Venice, a city renowned for its rich history and breathtaking canals. I booked a tour for a mask making workshop, filled with excitement and anticipation, as I couldn’t wait to immerse myself in this captivating experience. Sitting in the charming atelier, surrounded by vibrant colors and intricate designs, I was profoundly inspired by the beauty of their creations. Each mask told a story, reflecting the artistry of its maker and the traditions of Venetian culture. While I focused intently on painting my own mask, I realized that making masks would not only be a delightful pastime but also a great creative outlet for me. The experience reignited a passion for art that I had long set aside, and I enthusiastically took up mask painting as my newest hobby, looking forward to crafting unique pieces that blended my personal style with the time-honored techniques I had learned.

My art journey kicked off as just a fun hobby. I’ve always been the creative type and love finding ways to show who I am.
